Our History
Founded in 1970, our company began as a small family business in Haiti, operating with a single truck. Over time, the business adapted and expanded, navigating through challenges, including international sanctions and economic embargoes. Upon lifting restrictions to Haiti, Chatelain Cargo Services evolved into a freight forwarder with a growing team of professionals servicing worldwide destinations. What started as a modest operation of about 20 employees grew significantly into a corporation of 100 employees 15 years later.
In 2007 the company expanded its presence by establishing operations as Chatelain Cargo Services Inc., in Miami, FL., USA, separately owned and licensed as an NVOCC, FMC License, Hazmat Certified, Indirect Air Carrier, and bonded warehouse facility, ranging in all types of cargo with complete rail and inland operations across North America.
